Phyllis, Ken, Sue say goodbye to Puppy Madonna 8/18/09-7/31/2010

Somewhere sometime long ago I read a story credited to an old American Indian Legend. It spoke of the Creator walking through his fields and streams, deep rich green forests held together by shadowed valleys but still the Creator God was lonely. And so it occurred to him to make himself a dog.
That is when he created my Aussie Madonna. He softly blew into her the Spirit of Life. He held that puppy close to him and watched her splash in streams and run through his forests. Yet as he looked at her he saw that she needed even more than His company. So He made me. Yes, He pulled me up on the potters wheel like a potter forming a clay pot. He did this in the same way He created puppy Madonna. He softly blew into me the Spirit of Life and set me free.
He looked at His puppy Madonna and said to her, "now you will have a playmate. Go and enjoy him." And she did. She enjoyed me so very much. Together we learned to skateboard on the 7 mile bridge. We pleasured each other beyond belief. We were so pleasantly foolish together.
Yet one day the Creator God was overwhelmed with not only the beauty of His creation but a haunting loneliness unfathomable by man. He wished to have her company again. So He called Her back to Himself. He called her name, spoke it only once and she died into Him..
Now it is my time to be lonely and her time to comfort the Creator. Somewhere, someplace He is pulling her through time as she rides a skateboard guided by His loving hand. She is not alone.

She succumbed to an extremely aggressive infection. We exhausted all medical possibilities. Dr. Mike Dunn gave her every conceivable act of care and compassion. Phyllis was on the phone, with Ken, Sue and Mike during Madonna's last moments.

Madonna is making God smile as she skates all over Heaven. We will miss you Madonna, class will never be the same without our Skate board Queen.
I'm so sorry for the loss of this sweet family member. She was like a child to all of us in the Kennel 101 family as we watched her learn to skateboard and wear her silly spiderman costume. She had a wonderful life with you that was cut way too short. There are not words equal to soothe the pain I know you are feeling, but know that one day when all of us are gone she will be there on the other side along with Ronnie, Luna, Holly, George and a long list of other furry family members to greet us as we cross over. My heart to yours. Take care and comfort as much as you can from the warm furry ones still with us as we enjoy their company.I hope this link will give you some comfort as it has others. Love Teri, Raina, and Pyrate

Madonna, what a sweet little gift shared with us for far too little time. She scattered joy all around her as she skated through our lives. She will be missed, but very fondly remembered always in that special part of our hearts reserved for wonderful things.
